Receiving Communities
As floods, fires and drought increase displacement, some cities are positioning themselves as receiving communities for climate migrants. I am examining the evolution of the concept of climate havens, seeking to understand equity implications and how cities can plan for this influx. Delineating this emerging field, I will build on existing work on relocation and in-migration.
